Pentru scafandri, pregătirea este foarte importantă, iar schimburile de experiență sunt întotdeauna bine venite.
Timp de cinci zile, plt. adj. Cioacă Valentin, scafandru la Detașamentul de Pompieri Giurgiu, s-a aflat la Balcic și s-a antrenat alături de colegii din județul Constanța și de scafandri bulgari.
Sesiunea de pregătire a inclus scufundări în apa mării, la adâncimi cuprinse între 5 și 20 de metri, cu echipament specific sezonului cald.

Scafandrii au nevoie de rezistență fizică și psihică pentru a ști cum să gestioneze orice situație dificilă ce poate apărea pe timpul scufundărilor, indiferent de mediul în care intervin sau de temperaturi.
De aceea, echipele mixte româno-bulgare au simulat acțiuni de căutare-salvare și au avut în vedere verificarea permanentă a echipamentului și siguranța pe timpul exercițiilor.
De fiecare dată, orele de pregătire sunt tratate cu responsabilitate, fiind un bun prilej pentru a-și perfecționa tehnicile de intervenție.
În luna iulie, alți trei scafandri giurgiuveni vor participa la același schimb de experiență.
